Tues March 27 Variable weather to day [today].
It was quite warm in the middle of the day
but as cold as the dickens at both ends and to
night [tonight] the wind blows pretty hard too.
Johny hauled manure. I didnt do much
of anything this forenoon but this afternoon
I worked at the head gate doings.

Wed March 28 Clear and pleasant
but it snowed about 3 inches last night.
We put 3 big loads of snow into the
cistern this forenoon and I made a grindstone
trough and some more shop work this
afternoon. We cleared up some seed wheat
and some seed barley.

Thurs March 29 Clear and fine.
John helped Frank load up a load of househole [household]
goods and then went home with him to help
unload and set up their stove. I worked
at the checks to put into the ditch.

Fri March 30 Pretty nice day only most
too windy. We worked at putting a headgate
and some checks in to the ditch used to
water the piece in the North East Corner.

Sat March 31 A pretty good little day
and we finished the headgate and check job
and that is about all we done except I made
a dasher and cover for Marys churn.
Mrs Golden was here and I gave her 3
dollars [$3.00] on account.
