Tues Aug 28 Very fine hay day. The boys Murphy
Bert and Johny finished cutting the seed alfalfa
got done about quitting time. Helen Heath came
out with Meda and I guess she is going to make
us a little visit. I mowed the piece of
oats just east of the 10 acre piece of alfalfa
and the lodged down piece north of the barn
and this afternoon I cut the piece of alfalfa
north of the house for the third time this
season and it is a fine crop too.
Our girl has come this afternoon.

Wed Aug 29 Fine again.
The three boys hauled seed alfalfa this forenoon
and Murphy and Bert hauled this afternoon.
I made some crossings in the timber claim
then chored at sundry things the ballance [balance]
of the day.

Thurs Aug 30 Pretty warm but
otherwise good. Johny raked up the oats by the
barn and then helped the boys shock in the
forenoon and in the afternoon they finished
stacking the seed alfalfa. I went to town
this forenoon and took Meda and her things over
there. Then after doing several other errands.
got home a little afternoon. Then mowed
the alfalfa that had come up since the wheat
was cut. Johny overhauled the bee hives and
got lots of honey too.
