Fri June 28 Cloudy all day and rained
several times but not very much but to night [tonight]
it is raining quite steady. Dave went
to town and helped do the chores. Will put
in his time a various jobs. I hoed most
of the afternoon. Lew and Mary were here
a little while towards night.

Sat June 29 Quite nice to day [today].
Clear warm and still. Dave went over to
town and brought out Mrs Gale who will
visit with us a few days. Will and I hoed Strawberries
this forenoon. Dave and Will plowed corn this
afternoon. I hoed strawberry all day.

Sun June 30 Nice in the morning
but got some boisterous in the afternoon.
We all kept Sunday though I went up and
looked to see what was yet to be done on the
ditch. Mr McEwen said that they would
finish to day [today] and water could be turned in
it to morrow [tomorrow] if they want to.

Mon July 1 Pretty nice. The wind
didnt blow nor rain fall. The boys got up
the ballance [balance] of the hay Except a load to take
to Silas Buffom tomorrow. Mrs Bartlett and
Mrs Gale went down to the cow barn to see the
Gray Cat perform. They pronounced her very
interesting.

Tues July 2 Nice
growing day with no rain or threats of rain.
The boys took a load of hay to Silas Buffom this morn [morning].
Afternoon Will picked strawberries and hoed and Dave took
Mrs Gale to take the [cows?]. I irrigated hoed and picked strawberries.
