Mon June 24 Pretty lively part of the day.
It began to threaten about 11 O clock and about 5
it rained a little. We hauled 3 loads of hay and
stacked it on the piece over on the hill
in the forenoon and in the afternoon Dave and
Meda went over to town after Mrs Bartlett.
Brought her home about 5 O clock. Will picked
strawberries this afternoon and Ida Dotts picked
all day. I irrigated the yard and the trees
that I set our this spring.

Tues June 25 Cloudy in the morning
but cleared off and was a very nice day. We hauled
8 loads of hay 7 of them from the piece in
the NW corner. Twas very nice hay and there is two
loads there yet to haul. Mr Buffoms folks came
out and he helped haul and he is an extra hand at
it. I started in to irrigate the piece over on
the hill.

Wed June 26 The anniversary of
Hannahs and my wedding 45 years ago. The boys
hauled hay and got 5 loads. I irrigated and some other small jobs.
At night we were completely surprized [surprised] by our
neighbors and friends coming en masse to see
us and congratulate us on being alive and as
well as we are. We had a very nice time. Had a
good supper and enjoyed ourselves much.

Thurs June 27 Pretty Windy and cold in
the morning but got warmer and began to
rain just night. The boys hauled 2 loads of hay.
I irrigated some got through at noon and Mr
Bee took the water. Mrs Dixon and Mrs Birdsall
came to vieit us to day [today].
