Private Secretary Advising the visit of His Excellency The Govenor / SirWilloughby and Lady Norrie to Pt Lincoln on 21st and Cummins on 22nd June - and requesting the Council to Co operate in making their arrangements for their stay in
Pt Lincoln and suggesting that the council may wish to extend a Civic Welcome at Cummins in the evening of June 22nd.
Clerk Stated that the Chairman and himself had conferred
with the Town Clerk in reference to the Pt Lincoln Programme
and that he had spoken on the phone to the Private Secy
and His Excellency only wishes a Civic reception and to meet
Representatives of RSL and Lady Norrie the Womens Organizations in the evening - and he may call at the Recreation Ground as suggested to the Football match that is to be played there that afternoon, on his arrival about 4pm, weather permitting.

Pt Lincoln Agricultural Bureau re spread of St Johns Wort
and suggesting that beetles be obtained to destroy same.
Clerk stated that beetles are not yet obtainable.
