A Meeting of the Council of the Corparation of the City
of Kingston was held this day Present
His Worship the Mayor
Aldermen
Carson, Drennan, Dunn, Eilbeck, Gildersleeve,
Harty, Hiscock, Hobart, McIntyre, McKay, O'Brien,
Redden, Robinson, Shannon, Thompson, J. Wilson,
W. Wilson.

The Clerk read the minutes of the last meeting

A Communication from Sidney Smith Esquire Inspector of
Registry Offices, Ontario was read demanding a Plan or Map
of Lot No 24 to be lodged with the Registar of Deeds for the
City - Referred to the Finance Committee.

A Communication from M. Lavell Esquire M.D. was read
asking on behalf of the Medical Council the use of Ontario
Hall for examinations the first week in April - Referred to
the Committee on City Property.

A Communication from John Sullivan was read respecting
Statute Labor Tax - Referred to the Court of Revision

A Communication from J. Kearns on behalf of the Great
N.W. Telegraph Co. was read asking payment for two wires
strung on their poles on Cataraqui Bridge - Referred to the
Committee on Fire Water and Gas

A Circular from T.J. Barnardo London England Re
disposal of poor children Referred to the Finance Committee

Ald. Redden brought up the petition of Samuel Cox asking
for a rebate on Pool Licenses - Referred to the Committee on Licenses

Ald. Robinson brought up the petition of John Scott and 8
others praying for the deepening of a drain on the North End of
Division street - Referred to Committee on Streets &c

Ald. Hobart from the Committee on Finance and accounts brought
up a Report (Number 392 Book E) which was read and adopted

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets &c brought up a
Report (Number 393 Book E) which was read and adopted

The Chairman from the Committee on Fire Water and Gas
brought up a Report (Number 394 Book E) which was read
and adopted

A Communication from the Kingston Electric Light Co.
was read - Re lighting City by Electricity

The Chairman from the Committee on City Property brought
up a Report (Number 395 Book E) which was read and adopted

On Motion the Council adjourned
