to the lighting of City by Electric Lamps and that the
consideration of the same be deferred until the next
meeting - which being put was [underline]carried[/underline]

The Chairman from the Committee on Licenses
brought up a Report (Number 432 Book E.) which was
read and adopted

On motion of Ald. Harty seconded by Ald. McKay

Ordered, That the City Engineer furnish a Report
of the expenditure in each Ward to date with a statement
showing excess of appropriation (if any)

Ald. Thompson introduced a By Law to authorise the
Construction of a Common Sewer in the parts of Johnson and Albert
streets in the City of Kingston as a local work and improvement
under provisions on that behalf of the Consolidated
Municipal Act of 1883 and amendments - which was
read a first time

The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council
went into Committee of the whole on the second reading

Ald. McIntyre in the Chair

The Council resumed

The Committee rose and the Chairman reports the second
reading of the By Law clause by clause the Report was
received

The 30th Rule was again suspended and the By Law
was read a third time and passed

On motion the Council adjourned
