steel from his left eye. I took H
to Homewood to call. Spread 6
one horse loads of manure over
the potato patch intending to sow
"millet".

Took Willie and went to Rockville
and home before dinner. Bro Richard
called after noon also C Howard
and had tooth extracted. Wrote to S
Coale in answer to letter Reed yesterday
- Rained in Evening

to call upon sister H. Went to

Raw disagreeable day. Charley
drove to Leawood and Riverside taking
Willie. Afternoon C Took me in the
open buggy to Jno W Lucas' through the
Rain. Was called up after bed time and
went again to Lucas' (through pouring
rain) on horseback. left them a little
girl baby and came hom (in rain)
at between 2 and 3 o' clock

63 Rain Monday, 18th N.E.
Got home from Luca's about 3
o' clock this morning - Slept until
about 11 - o clock. Fell badly stiff
and sore "all over". Nick Johnson
here for advice and med for Helen and Mr
Lawford. Walter Scott and his sister
Ella spent the evening here.

Tuesday, 19th
Went to Luca's - Nick Johnson's
and Leawood Mills - Sow'd Millet
seed in the lot. Sent Chas: Johnson
to Scott;s (in omnibus) a brought home
sixteen bushels of oats. Charley
went after tea with W Scott to
