162 JOURNAL OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE Mar 4 1887 received for the construction of a sidewalk on the West Side of Front Street from the South line of Union Street to a point sixty (60) feet southof the South line of Seneca Street under Ordinance No 802 From M Keezer offering to construct the same for $16.00 pr M[thousand] From Clements & Conture offering to construct the same for $18.50 pr M [thousand] From L F Compton offering to construct the same for $13.90 pr M[thousand] From H Roseburg & D S Hill offering to construct the same for $13.85 pr M[thousand] On motion of Councilman Reitze the contract is awarded to Roseburg & Hill they being the lowest bidders and the city Attorney directs to draw the necessary contracts. On Motion of Councilman Furth the Street committee is instructed to examine the Bulk head of Front Street and report as to the best manner of securing the same and report at an adjourned meeting of the Council to be held Tuesday evening next at 7 o'clock. The Council now proceeds to examine and equalize the Assessment Roll for the Assessment District Created byOrdinance No 802 for the constructionof a sidewalk on the West Side of Front Street, pursuant to law & published notice. After due examination the said Assessment Roll is on motion approved. On motion the Plat of Hicks Addition to the City of Seattle is approved. On motion of Councilman Hinckley the city attorney is instructed to correct the City map in the Council Room by adding the later addition to the City thereto.
