A good day. Had a little rain a bout day this morning. Need more bad. Ben sowed some rye this morning. Jim shelled some corn this morning. Ben went to the mill this evening. Carried corn & rye & wheat. I went with him on the waggon. I fished while they ground the grain. I caught several fish. I intend to fry them in the morning.
Josie has raked a place in the garden and sowed turnip seed on it. I do hope that they may come up and grow.
Ben and Josie dug bait for me while I changed my dress and shoes.
Thursday November 3, 1921
A good day. Cloudy this morning. No rain. Mr Gambol and John Brumfield went from here this morning. John carried the team and waggon & Edwin brought them home tonight. Ben & Jim killed a calf this morning. Jim killed an opossome this evening. He intends to take it to Chatham tomorrow. Josie ironed this morning. She went to Blairs this evening to see Lottie & Nettie and they had both gone home. She had a good visit any way. I went to Marvins a few minutes this evening. Mrs Car staid with Edna & Mabel.

A colde windy day. Ben loaded his tobacco on the waggon this morning and started for Gretna this evening. Intends to stay at Marvin's tonight. I hope it will not rain while he is gone. Nellie ironed some this morning. I got dinner and churned. Mr. McEray ?? come here this morning. Mrs Carr did not come down stairs until twelve o'clock. She had a head ache. The children went to school. I am so near asleep that I can't write.

A beautiful day. Jim and Ben finished stripping their curing and loaded the wagon ready to start to Gretna in the morning.
I was mending Henrys coat this morning when Jim come to the house and said that Johnson and Mollie was going to [John?] Craddocks and that I could go with them. I got a snack to eat and got Mabel and my self ready. Ben carried us to Reynolds?]. Johnson went with us. We got some honey and got home by dark.
