felt strange at first with only one in it. It seemed to float around like a feather. My first landing was not too good as I made a wheel landing, and Purchas cussed me out good. and digusted this morning after hearing the news that hereafter everybody in leaving will go direct to Issoudun without the usual three days leave. I have been looking forward to these three days ever since I landed here. The fates seem to be against me, as I am in the first crowd not to get the three days. — Perry Patton smashed up the other rotery this afternoon in starting on his voyage.

Sunday, Nov. 11 '17.

Stayed in camp all day. Tom Manton took the car out and gave me a wrest. Went down to 526 and saw Grub Clover about aviation.

Went on early convoy. Bazoches to Braine, Brane to Measy. Then from Bucy la Longe to Vailly. Ben Burten and Bert Hope went to Soissons

wake me up. I got about two hours sleep. This morning Purchas asked me how I felt. I told him rotten, that I had only had about two hours sleep. He took me up and gave me three hops and then asked me if I wanted to take [deleted]the[deleted] it around alone. So out he climbed and away I went. Tuesday July 16 '18.

I was made sick this morning after hearing the news that everybody in leaving would go direct to Issoudun without three days leave. I have looked forward to these three days ever since I arrived here.

Wednesday July 17 '18.

Got my orders to leave for Issoudun this afternoon at 3 P.M. Had to rush around to get ready. Grub Clover wanted me to go to Paris with him. I felt a little leary, but we arrived at the depot about ten minutes before the Paris train left. I felt pretty sore, and disgusted so when I saw the train sitting there I said lets get the tickets so we did and asked some of the boys to look out for our baggage.
