to the wreck. It was terrible. There were two in the plane and parts of their boddies were scattered for a couple of hundred feet all around the wreck. There was no part of the plane that stood over a foot above the ground. Even the cylinders of the engine were crushed together. It was a sickening sight to see legs, arms, and heads lying around on the ground. The two trunks was all that was in the wreckage. was a mechanic. As luck would have it he matched another mechanics to see which one would go up for a ride.

Thursday July 25 ‘18.

Cecil Huntington a close friend of Billiard’s, and also from San Francisco was killed this afternoon. He was flying in formation at Field #7 and did a rounversement and landed on top of another plane. The other fellow got down alright but one wing was only hanging on.

Friday July, 26 ‘18.

Usual school work.

Saturday July 27 ‘18.

Had afternoon classes.

San Francisco June 29, 15

Dear Friend Marie,

I received your letter and am glad to hear that you are well and enjoying your self. I wish I could get a week off and come down to go in bathing. Jim said some thing about going to Santa Cruz over the Fourth but is not sure if he will go. We are going to Napa on the 16th of July and only wish you were going. We planing a trip for the end of July or the first of August and I hope you will be able to make that trip. I rang up your aunt the other night and your aunt and uncle are coming across the bay Sunday.

we are going to "Alma." and then maybe to Santa Cruz. So we are enjoying our selves every day. "Gee we had more fun." But just the same I am lonesome already for dear old San Francisco. San Francisco April 13, 16

My Dear Sweet heart.

I received your letter Wednesday night when I got home from work. I'm glad to hear you are enjoying your self and only wish I was there to get in on some of the fun. I know I would enjoy myself and have a nice vacation at the same time have "More Fun". Be carefull not to fall in any of those creeks down there because then I would be so lonesome. I have missed you since you went away and feel like quiting my job to come down myself.
