Dear Friend Marie,

I received your letter and am glad to hear that you are well and enjoying your self. I wish I could get a week off and come down to go in bathing. Jim said some thing about going to Santa Cruz over the Fourth but is not sure if he will go. We are going to Napa on the 16th of July and only wish you were going. We planing a trip for the end of July or the first of August and I hope you will be able to make that trip. I rang up your aunt the other night and your aunt and uncle are coming across the bay Sunday.

wish you dear - heart was along with me. Got home at 5.00 o'clock. Tuesday we are going to take a trip to Los Gatos. And next Sunday we are going down to Santa Cruz Beach again. Well dear, I haven't really got any more to tell you this time. Dear I guess you will soon be going on your trip to Napa. I hope and trust that you will arrive up there safely and have a good time. Dear don't forget to answer my letter just as soon as you can. Well I will close with love and kisses from a girl who always thinks of you. Marie

Last night we came down to the store after they closed up my Uncle had to go to a druggists meeting so Aunt Gertrude Linderman Kilpatrick, Mabel and I went and had some ice cream and then went home. We didn't get up until after nine this morning. After breakfast we drove out to Blue Rocks Sulphur Springs. It is about six miles from Vallejo. They were very pretty but I did not like the smell of them at all. We were home a little after noon.

In the afternoon we drove up [down - crossed out] to Napa and it was lovely. To-night is my Uncle's early night so we will probably go to the movies. There isn't much to do up here but it is nice to be with Aunt Gertrude Linderman Kilpatrick and it is a change from Alameda. We are having lots of fun anyway. We will go home Saturday morning. Aunt Gertrude wanted us to stay until next week but we have to be home for that luncheon on Saturday.
