We are now in the town of Giledorf, Luxemburg.
The people are mostly Germans so you see we don't get as much welcome as we did in Belgium. It is right near the German border. Expect to cross on over into Germany before long and go as far as the Rhine I believe. We surely get to see lots of country

Dear old Charles,
First I want to thank you for your kindness in remembering me with a Christmas card; I appreciate it very much, and my Christmas stock took a decided jump above par when I received a remembrance from a friend of those good old days which we can not forget. I, alas, received a card from Colonel(?) Lyell A. Chapman (Chappy), as you may know he has undertaken that burden of [keeping - crossed out] taking a wife. Also a card from C. Orear.
Northing of particular importance has happened to me since I last wrote you. I am again back in college grinding away at Economics, and hope to hell to graduate next year (however it is impossible) and get out and make my fortune.
I have lost touch with Capt. Gansser and crabby old Martin but suppose Gansser is puffing away on a Cinco cigar in his Grand Rapids law office, and Major Martin crabbing and damning everything from the Stars and Stripes to the ground under his feet.

Lieut. Theodore Banks who was athletic officer at Regimental headquarters when we were in Weis by Engers played quarterback on [our - crossed out] Michigan's football team here last fall, and made quite a name for himself.
I can not help but redream of our good old days back in Germany. They are something which we can not forget as they were too big of an event in our lives. Every now and then a bull-shit session is held in my room among the four of us in the house who were overseas. Do you remember the hot "fan-tan" games we held in your tent while awaiting to sail on the Imperator?
I haven't had a chance to look up your cousin yet, but will. I imagine you are still in medical school examining urine and the other bodily excretions. My brother is a sophomore medic this year.
Let me again thank you old man for your kind remembrance, and please do lets keep in touch with each other now and then.
Yours, Venner Brace.
