To the Honorable City Council of City of Seattle Gentlemen At sale for City Taxes of 1890, held July 18th 1891 Lot 1 Blk 5 C Hanford's Addition was sold to T Hanford as shown by certificate of purchase No 994, said certificate having been assigned by T Hanford to me. Sale was erroneous, the lot having been assessed to H H Lewis and tax paid by him June 12th 91 by receipt No 1213. I therefore request that you refund to me the cost of certificate $1.87 with interest.
