Odrered that the Council do now adjourn approved T T Minor mayor Attest W R Forrest clerk Apr 20 1888 Be it remembered that on this 20th day of April 1888 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meet in its Council Chamber pursuant to law. the following officers are present, to wit: Mayor Thomas T Minor, Councilmen J M Frink, Jas Green, T W Lake, R Moran, U R Niesz, R Russell & C F Reitze Petition of J A Capp for refunding taxes read and tabled. Petition of M & K Gottstein for permissin to change style of door fronts on building on South East Corner of Columbia and Front Streets read and referred to Committee on Fire & Water with power to act. Petition of [James M Quillter]] for vacating Old Beach Raod, and referred to Committee on Streets. Petition of Mary H Abrams and others for abatement of nuisance in alley in Block 3 Bell and Denny's Addition to the City of Seattle read and referred to City Attorney and Committee on Health and Police.

534 JOURNAL OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE JUL 13 1888 An ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney en-titled "An Ordinance forfeiting and annulling the franchise granted to the Seattle Street Railway Com-pany to locate, lay down and maintain tracks for street Railways" and to Construct operate and maintain a Street Railway upon and Along Front Street in the City of Seattle from James Street to Pike Street" which is passed by the following vote, viz: In favor of the same Frink, Green, Lake, Moran, Niesz and Reitze, Against the same none. Ordered that the Ordinanance regulating tracks & track fares be referred to the Judiciary Committee. Ordered that the Council do now Adjourn. Approved Acting Mayor Attest W R Forrest Clerk

Jul 19 1888 Be it remembered that on this 19th day of July A D 1888 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its chamber pursuant to law. The following officers are present to wit: His Honor the Mayor Thomas T Minor & councilmen Furth, Green, Lake, Moran, Niesz and Reitze, Absent Councilmen Frink & Russell Canvass of Election Returns. And now the Council proceeds to canvass the returns from the several wards of the election for city officers for the city of Seattle held on the 9th day of July 1888 and upon the said Canvass finds as follows:
