Dear Sir
The plan of posts & entrance to lot #2035 (Tirrell) is received
To remove the iron fence & to dig out the sixteen posts of granite will cost $4.00 - I will allow you 1/2 ¢ per. [tl?] or more if I can get it for the old iron which will bring from $10 to $15, as nearly as I can estimate the weight. I will allow for the granite posts for the foundation to monument $8.00 if I take them
The cost of the foundation will be $32.20 the usual rate, with a deducation of $8.00 as above, if I use the posts. Size of foundation 4'-3" x 4'-3" 5 ft. below sod, and laid in cement.
I will set the curbing (lead & clamp.) at entrance as per. plan & the four corner posts, building the foundation under platform in cement, with the ^foundation stone which you are to furnish for $25.00
The soil on the lot is poor and the raising ought to be done with loam. I will raise the lot 3 inches with loam & resod it & manure it, for and dig out the stump in the lot for $75.00 leaving the lot in good order, the sod not to be put on until the monument is set.
Yrs truly J.W. Lovering
