From Committee on Harbor and Wharves Granting petition of Thomas Ewing for the use the foot of a street for a ferry slip provided Main Street is substituted for Washington Street in the petition. Adopted From Committee on Sewers & Drainage granting petition of Mrs Mary E Kenworthy and others for a sewer in Sixth Street between Union Street and Pike Street to connect with Pike Street sewer, the same to be of 8 inch iron stone sewer pipe. Adopted. From same Committee granting petition of W H Gleason and others for extension of Washington Street sewer so as to extend the same to Ninth Street which is as far as the street is graded. Adopted From Committee on Public Buildings and Grounds granting petition of D B Ward on behalf of the Methodist Protestant Church for permission to alter repair and enlarge said church building situated on the Corner of Madison and Second Streets. Adopted. From Same Committee recommending that engine House No 1 be repaired: "that the City clerk be instructed to employ John Lick to repair the roof of said building That the clerk also advertise for bids for papering the walls of all the rooms and calsoming all ceilings and for repainting all wood work. now painted, two coats of good paint and for repairing all grained wood work three coats of paint and two coats of varnish, all work to be the same nature as the present work". Adopted.
