Councilman Niesz not voting. 1018 An Ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney entitled "An Ordinance granting to the Commercial Mill Company]] the right to erect poles and stretch wires thereon for Electric pruposes" which is passed by the following vote viz:In favor of the same Burns, Durie, Jones, McCombs, McDonald, Niesz and Reitze. Against the same none. 1019 An Ordinance is submitted by the City Clerk entitled "A Special Ordinance appropriating money to pay audited bills" which is passed by the following vote viz: In favor of the same Burns, Durie, Jones, McCombs, McDonald, Niesz and Reitze. Against the same none. Claim of David Ferguson The City Atty makes a verbal report on the claim of David Ferguson for damages for injuries sustained by being run over by a hose cart at a fire on Yesler's Wharf. That the said Ferguson has no legal claim for damages against the city but as he is an old man, and indigent, he recommends that the City pay the claimant the sum of $200.00 On motion the report is adopted and the clerk instructed to draw a warrant in favor of said David Ferguson for the sum of $200.00, upon the said Ferguson filing a release of all claims against the City in the office of the City Clerk.
