Diaphoretics
walked verry well, much has been disputed about their use in gout, without stopping to discuss the subject, I will add that Diaphoretics are auxilliaries after proper purging. This at least is Natures process and the practice pursued by the Illustrious Sydenham in conformity thereto. As regards the disease of Lues Venerea it is a well established fact that it is more curable in warm than in cold climates, under those circumstances we may infer that the judicious exhibition of Diaphoretics are usefull in the ulcers, nodes, & consequent upon this disease.
