Seattle, Washington Nov. 25th., 1890

F. W. Wald Chairman Street Committee, Board of Aldermen, Dear Sir:j-

Referring to the petition for a sidewalk twelve feet wide at the Corner ofSouth Fourth and Washington Streets, the Board of Public Works would recommend that the petition be not granted. An eight foot walk has been constructed and the street has been planked to conform to a sidewalk of that width: any change in the width of the sidewalk would necessitate a change in the planking of thestreet. Respectfully submitted by order of the Board of Public Works.
