Was over to see Dan Sheehan last Monday he sure looks fine he is a lot taller than Stanley you should see the size of him his Mother will not know him when he gets home you can tell her if you should see her I am going to write Mrs Sheehan a letter the first chance I get Dan is

Dear Ted,

just a few lines to let you know that I have recieved your letter of Dec 27th and was sure pleased to hear from you and all the folks and to hear that you and all are well.

Was over to see Dan Sheehan last week he is very anctious [anxious] to get home now that the war is finished this is the way the French soldiers say the war is finished (La Guerre Finnie) every frenchman you talk to always winds up in saying La Guerre Finnie.
