To the City Council of the City of Seattle:

We, the undersigned, owners of property on Front Street between Madison and Pike Streets, respectfully petition your Honorable Body to have said Front Street widened as provided by Ordinance No. 1129, and that the same may be done at the earliest possible moment and so said Street may be planked and side-walked its full width.

Petition to Extend City Limits of Seattle To the Honorable, the City Council, the Legislative Body of the said city of Seattle, hereby respectfully petition that the boundaries of the City of Seattle be altered and extended so as to include the new territory hereinafter described within the said City of Seattle after proceedings had as required by law, and that you submit to the electors of said city and to the electors residing in the said territory hereinafter described, the question whether said territory shall be annexed to said City of Seattle and become a part thereof. 216 JOURNAL OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE Jun 17 1887 Ordered that the City Clerk be allowed an assistant in his office for such times as he may need one at a salary of $3.00 per day. Ordered that the Clerk be and he is hereby directed to give ten (10) days public notice as required by law that a general election for all city officers will be held on Monday July 11th 1887 . The officers to be elected shall be as follows to wit: One mayor, One City Attorney; one Chief of Police and from the First Ward one Councilman for the term of two years; from the Second Ward one Councilman for two years; from the Third Ward one Councilman for two years; from the Fourth Ward one Councilman for two years. the places apopinted to conduct the same are as follows to wit: First Ward Polls to be held at Engine House No 2 on South Third Street Inspector J D McDermott, Judges W V Rinehart and W D Graves, Clerks J C Holms and W F Dearborn Second Ward, Polls to be held at Engine House No 1 on Columbia Street, Inspector [ M R Maddocks]], Judges F W Wusthoff & Chas McDonald, clerks Chas Swensen and Josiah Collins. Third Ward Polls to be held at Brown's Pavillion on Second Street, Inspector A W Piper Judges L B Andrews & F Anthony, Clerks Douglas Young & R M Hopkins. Fourth Ward Polls to be held at Engine House No 4 Inspector W L Reston, judges Henry Roseberg and Charles Baker, Clerks J McGrath & Henry Harkins Ordinances An Ordinance is submitted by the city Attorney entitled "An Ordinance providing for the erection of wooding buildings within certain limits" which is passedd by the following vote Ayes Frink, Hinckley, Lake, Russell, Reitze.
