A good day. We had company this morning. Lizzie and Ola & Faber went to Marvins. I went with them. Ben carried us. We went from there to Johnsons. There we eat dinner and then we went to Kate Harveys.

We walked from Marvins to Reynols from there to Harveys. Marvin Smith carried us from there to George Blairs on his car. I walked from there home.

There was preaching at Strait Stone to day. Some of the Odd Fellows went to Lynch Burg this morning and brought 19 girls from the Odd Fellows Home to Strait Stone to preaching. There was dinner on the ground. Enough to feed them and some others.

Henry went to Lee Brumfields and went hazel nut hunting. Mrs. Owen got home from Roanoak to day.

A good day & very warm Jim hauled a load of rock this morning and this evening Ben & Jim loaded up the olde pit Ben went after Mrs Carr I was so glad for her to come Carrie & Kate came down a little while this evening Mrs Owen came this morning

I had a fall tonight I had a bucket of peas and a lighted lamp in my hands The Lamp did not break or the chimney it hurt me a little I am glad it was no worse 9 o'clock

A beautiful day. Jim & Ben stripped tobacco. Owen loaded some on Mr Mayhews truck to day. They are going to South Boston.

Mollie and Christenia Reynolds come a little while to day. Mrs Owen & Mrs Dews come a few minutes this evening. Mrs Car washed dishes for me today and that was a big help.

I washed the babys flanels this evening.

Jim & Ben went to the barn to nigh to tie tobacco.

I have wrote a letter to Letcher Craddock to night.

A good day. The men folks worked on tobacco. Ben went to Renan and got some beef. He paid 25 cts a pound for it.

Mrs Owen is sick.

The children went to school

Franklin staid all day at Marvins.

I think I am getting on well with the work considering my age but I am so tired of staying here and being so confined but I cant help my self.

To day is John Brumfields birth day. I had a letter from him yesterday.

A clear cold day. Jim and Ben finished burning their plant bed and sowed it. They got seed from Mr. Edmonds. Edmonds? folks are sick with the flue. Nellie washed some today. I got dinner. I cooked a chicken and baked some bread for to send to Mr. Owen's people. Their little boy died today. Mrs Owen has pneumonia. I do hope that she may get well. Ben has gone to Owens tonight. Mrs Carr churned for me a gain today. Mabel & Edna has gone with Mrs. Carr upstairs. Edna has come back. Today has been the coldest day of the winter.
