717 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE Nov 24 1885

That the propose elevated sidewalk would work a hardship on the property owners as the present sidewalk is now in passable condition and with some repairs will answer for the present need.

Ordinance

An ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney entitled "An Ordinance for the Regulation of Sleeping Apartments, and for the Preservation of Good Health" which after due consideration by the Council is passed by the following vote, to wit: In favor of this Ordinance R. H. Calligan, J. Furth, Geo. W. Hall, W. A. Harrington, Charles McDonald, J. J. Post, and G. W. Young. Against none.

Ordered that COuncil do now adjourn until Saturday evening November 28th.

Be it remembered that on this 28th day of November 1885 the City Council of the City of Seattle meets in its Council Chamber pursuant to adjournment. The following officers are present, to wit: His Honor Mayor H. L. Yesler and Councilmen R. H. Calligan, J. Furth, Geo. W. Hall, T. W. Lake, and Chas McDonald. Where the following proceedings are had to wit:

Committee on Public Grounds and buildings given until the next regular meeting to report on the City Stable.

The Council now proceeds to consider certain proposed amendments to the City Charter and the City Attorney directed to prepare and submit the same.

Ordered that the Council do now adjourn.
