To the Honorable the Mayor Council and Board of Alderman of th City of Seattle State of Washington.

We the undersigned Citizens and tax payers of Seattle respectfully represent,

That Ordinance No. 1522 of said City is oppressive exorbitant and unjust on allparties [sic] who wish to take out license for the first time and give entertainments in public places where intoxicating liquors are disposed of,

That the Ordinance is in the interest of one or two persons who have already paid their licenses for a year in advance and its effect is to give them a monopoly and shut competitors out,

We therefore respectfully pray for the repeal of said Ordinance and the passage of a just and equitable one effecting all parties equally in its place.

City Council and Chief Fire Department for the Cityof Seattle:We the undersigned citizens of Seattle, hereby remonstrate against the removal of Engine No 2 to North Seattle, on the ground that the public interests would be much better subserved by keeping No 2 in its present quarter and providing other means for fire protetion to North Seattle.

Ordered that Herschberg Bros be reduced on personal property from $15,000 to $7000 Ordered that Lot 6 Block 37 A A Denny's Addn be assessed to John Leary trustee at a valuation of $1899. with improvements at $250 and the same stricken from John Leary (real estate agent) asst Ordered that Robert Fitzhenry be reduced on personal property $700. Ordered that Frauenthal Bros be reduced on personal property $1700 acct mortgages wrongfully assessed and that they be reduced on Lot 1 Block10 Boren's the same being a vacant lot $20 Also that Lot 5 Block 61 A A Denny's be assessed to them and same stricken from Isidoro Manheim & B Neustadters asst 1/2 from each. Ordered that the Washington Iron Works be reduced on personal property $8982 account mortgages improperly assesed. Ordered that Lots 4 & 21 Block E Phinney's Addn Lot 12 Block 49 Seattle Homestead be assessed to J M Frink and the same stricken from J C Connors assessment. Ordered that James Nugent be reduced onpersonal property from $7000 to $1500 and that Lots 3 & 4 Block 46 Maynard's be assessed to him and stricken from B F Briggs lists.
