Petition to Extend City Limits of Seattle To the Honorable, the City Council, the Legislative Body of the said city of Seattle, hereby respectfully petition that the boundaries of the City of Seattle be altered and extended so as to include the new territory hereinafter described within the said City of Seattle after proceedings had as required by law, and that you submit to the electors of said city and to the electors residing in the said territory hereinafter described, the question whether said territory shall be annexed to said City of Seattle and become a part thereof. Seattle, Wash., Dec 11th, 1893 To the City Council of Seattle Gentlemen:The undersigned residents and householders in Broadway and DeForest St. north of Madison Street, are much in need of street lights, and of a policeman to watch their premises, and protect the same against mauraders and burglers. We feel that we are entitled to have the same conveniences and protection extended to us that other residents of the city enjoy, in the particulars mentioned, and we earnestly request that you will provide them forthwith. Seattle Washington February 15 1894 To the Honorable City Council of the City of Seattle, Gentlemen:-We the undersigned residents and property owners upon the vacinity of Broadway and DeForrest Streets North of Madison Street and who are obliged to make daily use of said streets hereby petition your honorable body to cuase street lights to be places alont the line of siad Broadway and DeForrest Streets are not now established between Madison Street on the South and Oak Street on the North.
