32 JOURNAL OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE Jun 29 1886 Be it remembered that on this the 29th day of June 1886 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its Council Chamber pursuant to adjournment: the following officers are present to wit: His Honor the Mayor H L Yesler and Councilmen R H Calligan, J Furth, G W Hall, T W Lake, Chas McDonald and G W Young when the following proceedings are had to wit: Ordered that the Clerk be and is hereby directed to give ten(10) days public notice as required by law that a general election for all City Offices of the City of Seattle will be held on Monday July 12th 1886 The Officers to be elected shall be as follows to wit: One Mayor; One Attorney, and one Chief of Police: and From the First Ward One councilman for two years and one councilman for one year; from the Second Ward one councilman for two years, and one councilman for one year. From the Third Ward one councilman for two years and one councilman for one year: From the Fourth Ward one councilman for two years and one councilman for one year. The places appointed for holding such election and the officers appointed to conduct the same are as follows to wit: First Ward: Election to be held at Engine House No 2 South Third Street: Inspector W V Rinehart, judges J M Frink and J W Hunt Clerks D R McKinley and G W Crane Second Ward. Election to be held at Engine House No 1 Columbia Street; inspector Eben Smith, Judges M A Maddocks and Hillory Butler; Clerks W T Sharpe and C F Kellogg: Third Ward; Election to be held at Brown's Pavilion on Second Street;
