To the Hon The City Council of the City of Seattle, Wash. We your Petitioners respectfully ask your honorable body to grant the privilage of keeping and running a small stand at or near the Post office in the said City of Seattle (for the purpose of Selling fruit confectionaries &c.) to A J. Murphy The reason we make the above pleas is that the said Murphy is bady disabled from having lost both hands and both feet and is a moral upright and worthy man. Roger S. Greene John F. Remonstrance To the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Seattle We the undersigned property holders on third Street ask your honorable body not to extend the fire limits as proposed by a very few of the larger property holders in the burned District if our people who have been burned out Cannot have the priveledged of building wooden buildings on 3rd St they will most certainly have to leave the City as they are not able to build brick and can not do business in tents in the coming winter. are all two years Hence will do to extend the fire limits over most is give poor people a shove and your petitioners will ever pray A S Miller Thos Lyle J W Maryott Mrs L Lifesky Dexter Horton interested in 440 ft on 3rd Walter Harmon Hamun Schmitz John Webster M L Cavanaugh F M Guye E W P Guye Miss Shannon Simon Davis Mr Mrs Meydenbaur O C Shorey Rodney Knight

The Following officers are present to wit: Mayor H L Yesler and Councilmen R H Calligan, J Furth, W A Harrington, G W Hall, and T W Lake The following business is transacted to wit: Council proceeds to examine and equalize the Assessment Roll for the year 1886 On motion the Clerk is ordered to notify the following named persons to appear and show cause as the same appears on the assessment Roll for 1886. Should not be raised to wit: Isadore Harris Raised on Personal Property with law.
