To the Mayor and City Council of the City of Seattle:

Gentlemen: your petitioners most respectfully represent unto your honorable body, that in our opinion the license fee of $400.00 required to be paid by auctioneers, is unreasonable high; and we most respectfully ask that said license fee be reduced to the sum of $100.00 - the amount previously required, or to some other reasonable and equitable amount.

Most Respectfully

to the Honorable, The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Seattle Gentlemen:- The undersigned tax-payers of the City of Seattle, respectfully submit to the consideration of your honorable body, the following :--That Front Street between Pike and Blanchard Streets, be re-graded in such a manner as to do away with the heavy grade, and the respective hill now existing. The expenses of re-grading said street inculding damages to abutting property, to be born by the City of Seattle. The great benefit to be derived from said improvements to the city of Seattle at large is so apparent that we deem any argument in its favor unneccessary.
