Petition to Extend City Limits of Seattle To the Honorable, the City Council, the Legislative Body of the said city of Seattle, hereby respectfully petition that the boundaries of the City of Seattle be altered and extended so as to include the new territory hereinafter described within the said City of Seattle after proceedings had as required by law, and that you submit to the electors of said city and to the electors residing in the said territory hereinafter described, the question whether said territory shall be annexed to said City of Seattle and become a part thereof. Petition of J C Britton and others for opening and extending West Street through to Mill Street read and referred to the Committee onStreets. Petition of Dillis B Ward on behalf of the Methodist Protestant Church for permission to enlarge the M P Church corner of Madisonand Second Streets read and referred to Com on Public Buildings & Grounds. Communication received from the owners of property condemned along the line of Depot Street by ordinance #928 appointing J D Smith to act as appraiser in their behalf, pursuant to notice duly published and it aspering to the Council that the owners of property benefited have not filed notice of appointment of an appraiser to act in their behalf in the matter of the condemnation of property along the line of Depot Street under ordinance No 928, and this being the time set for appointing such appraisers: It is ordered that J D Smith be and he is hereby appointed to act as appraiser on behalf of the owners of property condemned and that Geo Kinnear Esq be and he is hereby appointed an appraiser on behalf of the owners of property benefited by the extension and opening of said Depot Street under said ordinance No 928.Where upon his Honor the Mayor appoints L B Andrews Esq an appraiser to act on behalf of the City insaid matter.
