Ordered that the bids be rejected And now the Council proceeds to open & consider the bids for the sewer in Madison Street which bids are as follows to wit: J T Jordan per running foot $1.60 Wm Harkins per running foot $1.18 Ordered that the contract be awarded to Wm Harkins upon his Executing a bond in the sum of $500.00 Ordered that the time for completion of said Improvement be & is hereby fixed at October 1,1884 And now the Council proceeds to open & Consider the bids for the grading of Front, Kentucky, Harrison & Temperance Streets under Ordinance No 565, which bids are as follows to wit: Wm Harkins Earthwork per yd. 32 cents Cribbing per sq yd $2.50 Sidewalk per M B M [thousand board feet] $14. Box Dains per M B M [thousand board feet] $17. Grubbing & Clearing per acre $100. Or for the total sum of $8400.00 S G Simpson Earthwork per yd. 28 cents Cribbing per sq yd $2. Orderd that the Contract be & is hereby awarded to S G Simpson upon his executing a bond inthe sum of $4000.00 Ordered that the time for the completion of said Improvement be & is bereby fixed at Nov 1,1884 And now the Council proceeds to open and consider the bids for the Improvement of Fifth Street under Ordinance No 573 which bids are as follows to wit:
