A changable day. Clear tonight and the wind blowing. Jim and Ben hauled stalks and corn this morning. Ben hauled wood this evening. Jim cut in the woods. Josie baked a cake in the oil stove this morning.

I went to see Mrs Edmons. Found her sitting up. She looks feeble. She is improving. They have a col woman staying there. They were making a canvas for the plant beds. Miss Carter stopd here a while. We all are all ways glad to see her.

A cool windy day. Ben sawed stove wood this evening. He broke his saw and borrowed Mr Bob Starkeys to saw his wood. Mr Woodall and Reese Smith helped him. They had preaching at Strait Stone this evening. Marvin went for the preacher.

Josie baked rools for supper. I have staid at home all day today. I am a fraid that the frost will kill all tender things tonight.

A clear hot day. Ben & Jim and Henry, Edna, Franklin, Reese, Paul, Roy all went to Altavista to a show. I think they all enjoyed it very much. Today is Paul Smiths birth day. He is nine years olde. Josie sewed some this evening.

I went to Marvins a while. Carrie was makeing Roy some blouses. I am going to make the button holes.

I put my glasses in the range this morning and ruined them. I have mised them so much today.

A good day. Ben and Jim worked at the barn until dinner. Then Jim went to the mill. He got home by night. Ben split some wood for the range. Then went to Renan. Nellie sent Evylin a dress by mail. Ella went home this evening. Mr Henelme ??? come for her on his car. Nellie and I got dinner. Nellie & Fanny washed dishes at dinner tonight. Josie has suffered a lot today. Mrs. Kent come to see her this evening. Norman Booker went to Gretna this morning. He offered to bring any thing I wanted. I think he was was very kind to offer so much. Maybel (?) has bein une? good today.
