M. Crane on behalf of the City as an appraiser of damages & benefits. Ordered that the written appointment under said ordinance heretofore fixed on behalf of property damaged of J.E. Houghton be & is hereby approved. And now it appearing to the Council that the owners of property benefited by such extension & establishment of Madison Street have failed to file a written appointment of an appraiser & are are therefore now in default. 159 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE Oct. 23/82 Ordered that Frank Peters be allowed to withdraw his application for a retail liquor license and re-file the same. And now Frank Peters files his application for a retail liquor license. Referred to the Committe on Licenses and Revenue. Ordered that the Council stand now adjourned. Attest: E S Osborne Clerk Approved H G Struve Mayor Office of the Mayor of the City of Seattle October 25, 1882 A meeting of the Council is hereby called to convene on Thursday October 26 1882 at 7&1/2 o'clock p.m. at the Council Chamber for the transaction of any business that may be brought before it. H G Stuve Mayor Oct. 26/82 Be it remembered that on this the 26th day of October 1882 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its Council Chamber pursuant to the call of His Honor the Mayor. The following Offices are present, towit: His Honor the Mayor H.G. Struve and Councilmen John Collins, O.F. Cosper, Chas F. Clancy, Fred Gasch, G. L. Manning and U.M. Rasin. Thereupon the following proceedings are had: Communications Received From His Honor the Mayor submitting a protest by W. E. Borne Architect against the manner of the construction of the new City Engine House by E. W. Rea Contractor. Report Received From City Surveyor submitting plans and specifications and estimates for a sidewalk on Union Street as required by Ordinance No. 324. Thereupon after examinaton the same
