Seattle May 12th 1892 To the Honorable Board of Public Works of the City of Seattle:-

We the undersigned owners, tax payers, and residents, of and in the neighborhood of B Street in the 4th Precinct of the First Ward of this City, humbly petition your Hon Body to open said Street B from 12th Street to Grant Street Bridge and have it made passable for foot passengers and teams: at the city's expense:-

We would call the attention of your Hon body to the following facts:-

The said B Street has a bridge connecting 10th Street with Grant Street Bridge and is the only public connection between Dearborn Street and the Bayview Brewery and necessarily used greatly as a connecting point with the Grant Street Electric Railway, and if this petition is granted will be a most convenient inlet and outlet for all persons between the said points as far up as 14th Street.

12th Street is planked to B and would make a most desirable connection. For these and many other urgent reasons we humbly request the granting of this petition E [H?] Smith John H. Park. W. E. Hodder W B Phillips

To the Honorable.

Th Board of Treasurers and House of Delegates:

Gentlemen: Your petitioners property owners and residents along Dearborn street respectfully pray your Honorable Body to cause a sewer to be placed in said Dearborn Street from 10th Street to Elliot Bay.

An examination by your Committee on Sewers and Drainage in this matter will convince you of the necessity for prompt action as the health of the neighborhood is such as to admit of no delay.
