161 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE Oct 26/82 Ordered that the Treasurer be and is hereby instructed to make a reduction in the assessment of the Slotter Hen's for and on account of the Jackson Street sidewalk as was done in call of Columbia and P.S. R.R. Co and that upon the payment of such reduced taxation together with Penalty and interest their assessment be satisfied. Ordered that the Council stand now adjourned until Friday October 27 1882 at 7 1/2 o'clock p.m. Attest E S Osborne Clerk Approved U M Rasin Acting Mayor Oct 27/82 Be it remembered that on this the 27th day of October 1882 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its Council Chamber pursuant to adjournment. The following Officers are present, to wit: His Honor the Mayor H. G. Struve and Councilmen John Collins, O. F. Cosper, Chas F. Clancy, Fred Gasch, Charles McDonald and U.M. Rasin. Thereupon the following proceedings are had: And now the Jail Committee make their report upon certain changes made against the Contractor of New City Engine House; thereupon said report is adopted. A petition is received from J.W. George et al for removal of a Chinese Wash House on Lot 8 Block 6 of Maynards plat; thereupon the same is referred to the Committee on Fire and Water supply. From Licenses and Revenue recommending a retail liquor license be issued to Joseph Francisco. Adopted. From Licenses and Revenue recommending a retail liquor license be issued to Wm. Grose. Adopted. From Licenses and Revenue recommending the granting of the petition of F.X. Perfontaine refunding license collected from Catholic Church. Adopted. From Licenses and Revenue recommending the granting of the petition of the Sing Verein Orion for refunding license collected. Adopted. From Jail Committee that E. W. Rea have 5 weeks further time from date in which to complete the New City Engine House. Adopted. From Finance approving the Treasurer's report on Jackson Street sidewalk. Adopted. Ordered that the application of W.F Hall for Retail liquor license for 3 months from May 1, 1885 be & is hereby granted. In favor of granting the same Harrington, Yesler & Rinehaart.

Ordered that the Council stand now adjourned until Wednesday May 20, 1885 at 8 o'clock p.m.
