304 JOURNAL OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE July 16/83 to them upon their executing a bond with good and sufficient sureties in the sum of $3000.00 And now the Street Committee make their report awarding the contract for the piling and Wharf building on South 3rd Street under Ordinance No. 399 to G. N. Alexander. Thereupon the Council finding his bid to be the lowest responsible bid and the said Alexander to be the lowest responsible bidder. It is ordered that the contract be awarded to him upon his executing a bond with good and sufficient sureties in the sum of $3000.00. Ordered that a Warrant be issued to James Villie on the City Fund in the sum of $17.90 being the amount of sidewalk tax paid by him for and on a/c of the Improvement of 2d, 3d and intersecting streets under Ordinance No 288.
