New Business Ordered that the Street Committee be and they are hereby instructed to forbid the removal of earth from under sidewalks, so that sidewalk and earth thereunder shall be higher than gutters. Guye et al protesting against the construction of a sidewalk on Washington Street under Ordinance No. 326. Referred to the Committee on Streets and Street Improvements. From Wm. Campbell et al for increasing the salary of the steward of the Engine House. Repots of Officers Rec'd From City Attorney asking a 40 days leave of absence from the City.
