The following Officers are present to wit: His Honor the acting Mayor H L Yesler & Councilmen Alfred Snyder, W G Latimer, W V Rinehart, S D Crockett, & Walter Graham Acommunication is rec'd from the Clerk on the matter of a tax levy for 1885. 651 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE June 15th at 8 o'clock pm Attest: E S Osborneclerk Approved John Leary mayor Be it remembered that on this the 15th day of June 1885 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its Council Chamber pursuant to adjournment, The following officers are present towit: His Honor the Mayor John Leary & Councilman Geo F Frye, W A Harrington, Alfred Snyder, H L Yesler, W G Latimer, W V Rinehart and Walter Graham. thereupon the following proceedings are had. Ordered that one half of all the receipts of licenses now placed to the credit of the City Fund be placed to the credit of the Road Fund. Ordinances The attorney submits an Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance To fix the limits of the benefits an protection afforded by the contract for the supply of water made with the Spring Hill Water Company". Thereupon after due consideration said ordinance is adopted upon the following vote, to wit: In favor of adoption Frye, Harrington, Rinehart, Snyder, Latimer, Crockett & Graham. Against same none. The attorney submits an Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance To assess and levy taxes for general and specila municipal purposes for the year 1885". Thereupon after due consideration said ordinance is adopted upon the following vote, to wit: In favor of adoption Frye, Harrington, Rinehart,Snyder, Latimer, Crockett &Graham. Against same none. The special Commtee on salaries make the following report; "To the Mayor & Common Council of the City of Seattle Gentlemen your special committee to whom was referred the matter of salaries for the ensuing year beg to submit the following recommendations.
