Dec 1st, 1892 To the Honorable City Council Of the City of Seattle Gentlemen:-The undersigned Beede Cafe Company, having concluded to go out og business Dec 1st., hereby return liquor license No 553 issued July 1st 1892 and also music license No 27 issued September 1st and would respectfully pray that your Honorable Body have the customary rebate granted for the same. No 553 Liquor License to whom it may concern Know ye by these Presents, that the City of Seattle, State of Washington. has licensed H Beede Cafe Co Incorporated doing business under the firm name and style of the Beede Cafe to sell by retail Intoxicating Liquors in the 4th ward of said city at the following location to-wit: Name of building Butler Block no. of buildng located on North side of James Street for the period of One Year, from July 1st 1892 until July 1st 1893 That said Beede Cafe Co Incorporated by the acceptance of the license has pledged itself to comply fully with the provisions of Ordinance No 910 and all amendments thereto, under which this license is granted, and that the same is accepted subject to the provisions in said Ordinanace and amendments provided In Testimony Whereas The Comptroller of said City had hereunto set his hand and affixed the seal of the said City of Seattle, this 25th day of August 1892 J M Carson Comptroller A Blackstone Deputy

Be it remembered that on this the 22nd day of October A.D. 1890. The Board of Aldermen of the City of Seattle meets pursuant to adjournment and after recess in the New City Hall in the Butler Block.

The following members are present.

Prest Geo W. Hall in the Chair.

At roll call the following members answered to their names

Bogardus, Holbrook, Korn, Miller, Pontius Snyder, Wald, Wilcox and Mr. President.

The following proceedings are had: Journal of previous meeting and approved.

Petitions

Petitions for retail liquor licenses were read from the following named persons Korthern and Weberputz. J. Conrad Devet and Salvey, Clancey & Burns Sothe and Drumm Noel Bengley Fortlomi & Levy Fred Beuse Pearson and Brand Pinkham & Coyle L. Chopard Gumbert & Leibman. Said petitions were read and ref to Com on L & R.

Petition of H. Lapworth for an outlet to his property lot 3 & 4 blk 41 10th & Stewart St. Read and ref to Street Com.

Petition of J. B. Denney for Sewer Harrison St from Oak to the Bay. Read and ref to Com on Sewers and Drains.

Petition from G. C. Phinney - that the present Janitor of the Butler Blk be appointed Janitor of the New City Offices. Read and ref to the Spec Com on Janitor.
