Seattle Sept 14, 1884 Mr Furth Dear Sir Yours of the 12th [?] at hand and contents noted. I failed to state in my bid where the lumber would be delivered. That arose from a complication of matters which are not done yet. I will state - however for the benefit of the committee of which I judge that you are the Chairman that I will deliver the lumber not further distant than the Western Mill Lake Union. I shall not urge my bid upon your honorable committee as perfect liberty- W disregard it- Yours etc. E F Blaine
