Nov. 2 '83 In favor of adoption Clancy, Day, McDonald, Rasin, Ranke & Wusthoff. Against adoption none. Ordered that the Attorney be & is hereby instructed to submit an Ordinance to fix the salary of the Fire Warden at $150 a year

Miscellaneous Ordered that the Treasurer by & is hereby requested to pay all warrants in favor of street laborers out of any monies not otherwise appropri-ated. Petitions Rec'd From the Seattle Street Railway Co. for the right to construct a direct railway along South 2d, Mill & Front Streets. Referred to Street Committee. From the Seattle Street Railway Co. for the right to construct a street Railway along Madison from Front to the city limits & along Mill & West Streets. Referred to Street Committee. From George Kinnear et al for a gas lamp corner 3rd & Spring Streets. Referred to Gas Committee. From Geo. R. Smith et al for a fish stand foot of Washington Street. Denied

Petition of W H Bow et al praying for a bridge on Lincoln Street North of Sixth Street. Rederred to Committee on Streets Petition of Fred Gasch et al for a sewer from Washington Street sewer through South 5th St to Mill St with necessary branches. Referrd to Committee on Gas Lights Communication from D E Blaine offering to deliver lumber to the City in accordance with bid of E F Blaine guaranteeing that the hauling should not cost more there from any other Mill received and read, and on motion of Councilman Furth laid on the table. Communications from Allmond and Phillips offering to re-cast broken bell on tower of Engine House No 2 rec'd and read and referred to Committee of Fire and Water with authority to contract.

As per a resolution passed by your Hon body at last session I hereby respy submit locations for additional boxes for fire alarm purposes.

I would also recommend the changing of box at corner of Pine + 3rd to corner of Pike and Third, and box at Spring + West to University + West.

Should these additions be made I would have then but one box on hand not in use having fire now. As I
