Durny's got a cable from Raymond yesterday — the first since the War it said "Well — Happy -" said nothing of coming home.

Mrs. Durny slipped & hurt her shoulder on Xmas Eve it is dislocated & the ligaments torn quite painful but I hope not [illegible] — She or Mr Durny kindly asked the drug agent in Liverpool to send you a box of eatables such as the man — sends Raymond — now & then — This friend will not accept payment for Raymonds boxes — & I suppose

they can't ask him to accept payment for you — but they asked him to send you one — at their expense I have no doubt — It was kind of them Mrs D — says it was Mr Durny & he says it was Mrs. Anyway it was very [underlined] kind & we know will please you if you ever get it —

Father & I have been having bad colds but are on the mend decidedly — It is so nice to have Les & Jocelyn here & they are very good in taking care of us & bringing up our breakfast etc
