City Fund Chronicle printing no $129.89 Hall & Paulson Furniture Co ballot boxes 22.50

Fire Fund Young & McKeon repairs to Engine no $4.05 Waddell & Miles repairs to Inclines 9.77 Shewan & Labrache hauling Engine + truck 8.50 L. M. Robbins removing bell & tearing down Old Engine House 151.06

And now the Street Comtee make their recommending that P. Quigley & Co be granted an extension of time until Aug.15.1883 on their contract for the Improvement of Eighth Street under Ord No. 388. Adopted

Ordered that the Council stand now adjourned until Monday August 6, 1883 at 8 o'clock P.M.

325 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE Aug 6/83

Ordered that the Attorney be & he is hereby instructed to submit an Ordinance to prevent the employment of Chinese on public Improvements.

Ordered that a Comtee towit: Harris, Ranke & Wusthoff be & they are hereby appointed to interview the citizens & report to the Council suitable provisions for the reception of Henry Villard & party upon their arrival in this city in September next

Ordered that the Clerk be & he is hereby instructed to advertise for bids for the City printing & gas work for the ensuing year.

Ordinances Rec'd An Ordinance is submitted entitled "A Special Ordinance appropriating money to pay Audited bills." thereupon after due consideration the same is adopted upon the following Vote, towit: In favor of adoption Day, Harris, Rasin, Ranke & Wusthoff. Against the same none.

Ordered that the Council stand now adjourned until Friday August 10.1883 at 8 o'clock P.M.

469 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE May 2/84 Ordered that the Council stand now adjourned until Wednesday May 7, 1884 at 8 O'Clock P.M. Attest: E. S Osborne Clerk Approved U M Rasin acting Mayor On this 2d day of May 1884 immediately after adjournment as above the Council meets pursuant to call of His Honor the Mayor Present: His Honor the Mayor H. G. Struve & Councilmen Thos Clancy, B. F. Day, Geo. W. Harris, Chas McDonald, B. L. Northrup, Otto Ranke, U. M. Rasin & F. W. Wusthoff And now the Council proceeds to open & consider the bids for the construction of a Sewer in Washington Street, which bids read as follows, to wit: S. G. Simpson per foot $4.10 footings per M.B. M.[Thousand Board Foot] $17.50 Wm Harkins per foot $4.20 footing per M.B. M.[Thousand Board Foot] $19.00 Ordered that the contract be awarded to S. G. Simpson upon his executing a bond in the sum of $2500.00 And now the Council proceeds to open & consider the bids for the construction of Sewers in Mill & James Streets, which bids read as follows, to wit: Wm Harkins $3300 S.
