H Willis Carr P O Box 1065 Seattle, Washington Seattle, Wash., April, 28th 1894 To the Honorable Council of the City of Seattle. Gentlemen: I hereby make request that your Honorable body take such action as may be necessary to authorize the Mayor and Comptoller of the City of Seattle, to issue a warrant to Geo T Wilson, in place of Fire Fund Warrant No. 982, which was issued to S Baxter & Co. on November 14th, 1891, for the sum of $317.78. I bought said warrant of S Baxter & Co., sold it to Ambro Whipple who sold it to Geo T Wilson, of Meadville Penns. and it was stolen, with other papers, from Mr. Wilson's safe. Enclosed herewith are affidavits of Messrs. Whipple and Wilson substantiating the statement as above and my correspondance with City Treasurer Atkinson, regarading the matter for your Consideration.
