My dear Mrs Stanford.
Please accept my sincere congratulations over the decision of U. S. Supreme Court today, giving you a victory. I wired Mr. Lathrop of the glorious result, and presume he informed you. I would have wired you direct, but saw that Miss Patton and several others were sending you the good news by wire, so I heed my congratulations for the mail.
Sincerely yours
The courtroom was crowded and we could hardly refrain from cheering outright when Judge Harlan read the decision.
