Fred Firbelis is in this latest draft. As are my brothers Harold & Fred --- The bank wants to exempt Harold but he won't hear of it & Fred feels the same way. I hope [underlined] they wont both go through for your dear Grandmother is 74 years old & is too old to be able to stand the

My own dear Edward.

This has been a wonderful day warm, even hot & so was yesterday. It was too hot to be comfortable really.

Mrs Waltman & Edith are at Lodi near Sheldon & wanted me to come & spend the day with them but it was too hot --

A telegram came from Les today & we were very glad as his last letter from the Hotel Astor

[written vertically on left side:] Mrs Cekell sent her love --- every body does. When they ask for you their love or some message.
