28 Saturday the past week we have made our new ground fence go to mill Hall wood Turn out one Lug Hhd Tobacco. the weather very cold, yesterday Friday we rolled our new ground Logs this day shelling corn gone to mill & cutting & malling up big pine beyond Turnip patch. Snowed last night about one Inch deep Thrashed out 1 stack oats this week 12 B Halled up one Do to feed with sold Selam to Pidlar & traded for goods $20 for him
1st day March 1846 yesterday it began to rain & we were mending shoes making Rakes etc This morning Friday 1st day of March Dreadfull weather Trees hanging with Ice some snow on ground. Thank God we are all on foot lost nearly half of our Lambs only got 14 now.
