10 Oct 1845 Rainy day. Bro Webb here on his way to association at Greenfield

11 Still raining & rained all night last night - fanned out wheat yesterday Association commences at Greenfield today

17 Killed a beef - young red steer weighed 240 lbs in all — began to sew wheat at mountain field this day, Diged Sweet & Irish potatoes this day - large frost -

23 Sewed wheat by Mallisa house & Henrys houses —

24 Sewing wheat in second years Tobacco ground, Moon Sued to me to Novr Court 1845, & I defend the suit, weather a little more moderate

Nov. 8th Finished yesterday getting up our corn - make between 40 & 50 Bbls Commenced at Stony Point to sew wheat. Federick nearly done making negroes shax——— Broke Waxy & Pompey to plow

11 Finished seeding wheat at Stony Point —

Nov 11th 1845. This morning & very early started to Meadsville to see Mr Richard Waln, who was present when James D Moon

and myself contracted for the carpenters work of our House he was not at home, but I found him at a sale at Mr Cotes, he recollectd some of the conversation but did not recollect the positive contract but said he would reflect upon & let me hear from him in a few days— I then come up to Republican to see Mr. Spencer Keeling who Mr Moon tried to get - to take the Job off his hands after so anxious to get it. Mr Keeling said very clear that Moon told him I was to give Him Moon one hundred & twenty five Dolls for doing any work == Travelled about 46 miles on this business Demarcas Lain also heard Moon say I was to give him $125.- for doing my carpenters work ————————

Nov. 21 Cutting down branch - Halling wood Shrubbing Corn Land & breaking flax — John J Lain making Gate this day to be put up at, - Spring began this day to Plow for corn,

27 Raised House beyond Hen House fix fences about House & Lot & making cow shelters - put up cherry to fatten, cutting on Branch corn & Turnip Patch — Novr 1845 dry & good weather,
