12th Fine day & we are burning Large Plant Bed on mountain —

13th Finishing Plant Bed to day — A little cloudy weather moderate

14 Sewed Plant Bed this morning & covered it & cutting wood for another below the road on mountain ——

15th Commenced burning small Plant Bed on mountain this morning weather moderate & cloudy to day Went yesterday to Mrs Hunts Bring Lains Ezekial East & shop to carry hides for Miller to Tan^{3 carried}— got the shingles my Plow & a little straw from Mrs Hunts yesterday Sewed small Plant Bed on mountain this night in the rain, began to rain about night —

16th rained nearly all night cloudy this morning & we are striping Tobacco at new ground —— 17th Finally a rainy Day Striping Tobacco

aprl 1st Went to Riceville to attend to weatherford passing counterfeit money to J J Lain

2nd Hilling & Coltering in fresh ground Coultered little new ground at fresh ground by new barn & about 12 oclock the wind rise & from allmost a spark in Our new ground we had a Smart fire burnt Some few Rails & the wind continued till about Sun down ———

3rd Halling Rails out of new ground waggon & Cart around corn field fence weather moderate made nearly 10.000 fresh ground Hills — prizing Lug. Still cloudy & Rainy

4 Bet Had a Bull calf cloudy & Rainy

5 Still cloudy & Rainy quite cool – put Bells On cows ^{& Turn some of them out}this morning

6. Last Friday the 2nd day of april we had Smart fire in our new ground, very windy in evening & fire went allmost like the wind great deal of fire got out in evening & damaged a great many considerable this we are coltering in little new ground at fresh & Hilling Fed malling wood in new ground

7. Same work as yesterday, last monday & Tuesday very cool & Rainy & bad on stock & We are out of our cow feed for the 1st time allmost since we kepted House Fine weather to day weather more moderate

8th Rained began to lay off corn ground by fresh ground coltering & Hilling there Jordan coltering. Halled stack Oats etc Turned out our cattle
